Fifteen GEMTA members met at Goshen College for the monthly meeting:  Laurie Miller, Maxine Yoder, Earline Lewis, Cindy Hawkins, Nancy Kosteck (new member), Carolyn Hertzler, Esther Sharp (visitor), Sabina Rosentrater, Lori Reynolds, Juliana Lockman, Ellen Rowland, Evelyn Stichter, Karin Hartman, Nancy Ludden and Candy Henkler.

BUSINESS MEETING

Reports

Secretary Report read by Laurie Miller.  No additions or corrections.  Report accepted.

Treasurer Report by Maxine Yoder.  Balance of $2895.17 including $107 for dues and $240 for ads.  Report approved.

Website Report by Candy Henkler.  Website up and going.

Hoosier Auditions Chair – Anna Bauer has agreed to take this on.

Historian Report – Earline Lewis to retire.  Laurie Miller to take over.

NEW BUSINESS

Directories:  were passed out

AIM Information:  presented by Candy Henkler and Juliana Lockman.  Juliana suggested that teachers make their own practice tests for students to take in preparation for the theory tests.

Piano Orchestra:  Juliana Lockman to chair this program.  Shirk’s say no to use their pianos.  It was suggested to wait until the recession passes and then to readdress.

Tricks of the Trades:  Copies available for $6.00.  Pay Maxine Yoder. Carolyn has the books.
